Cultural Cycling Tour 

Half-day cycling (8:00 - 12:00)
Just outside of Battambang city, sitting snung between the rolling patchwork of rice fields are small rickety traditional houses on stilts, where enormous pigs languidly lull by the road and buffalo snooze beside round hay bales. Riding our bikes will bring us to see local ladies or " Ming " (anuts) making rice paper discs used to wrap spring rolls and to Samrong Knong where we will sample authentic Kralan (sticky rice, black bean, coconut milk and a little salt in the bamboo tube over charcoal). also from the roadside vendor: rice wine, banana chips.

Tour spots
Ridding our bikes by the rice paddies and throug the villages.Visit the different traditional makers of bamboo sticky rice, dried paper, banana chips, Khmer rice wine. Visit Wat Samrong Knong and killing field. Seeing the daily life of the smilling people and interacting with them.

Riding Bikes Through the Villages

Half-day cycling (8:00 - 12:30)
Riding the bike is the best way to discovering the countryside, to visit the villagers and interacting with people. We will be seeing the tropical gardening plants. They grow the orange, coconut, dragon fruits (pitaya) and vigetable full year. The fishermen live along the riverbank and feeding the fishes. also riding on the bamboo train through the rice fields is the popular activies for Cambodian after the Khmer Rouge, to bringing the rice home or traveling to the other provinces or Phnom Penh city, because the public transportation was destroyed by Mr. Polpor. 

Tour spots
Riding the bikes along the riverbank. Visit the old pagoda, tropical garden plants and fishermen. Riding bikes on the swinging bridge. Visit an orange farm and tasting the fruits. Riding on the bamboo train through the rice fields.

Batdambang Through the Ages

Walking in town ( 14;00 - 17:00)
Battambang is the third largest city of Cambodia with a population of 150,000 people in the city and one million people in the province. It was founded in the tenth century under the Khmer impire, was annexed to Thailand in 1795 to 1907 when it was given back to Cambodia as part of French Indochina. The city was an area of 293 square kilometers, the Sangle River run through its center from south to north to reach  the Tonle Sap 55 km further away. It is almostly flat as it is surronded by numerrous rice fields. 

Tour spots
Chinese school, Battambang cinema, School Pi Tnou, Provincal museum, Sala Khait (provincal hall)/ Royal Residence, Sorkeng bridge, Old bridge/ First concrete bridge, Cornor building and villa, Psar Nat, Building of the Cantonese Association.

    1. - Sun cream, sunglasses and a hat for sun protection
      - A backpack, camera and a long scarf for women (to wear in a pagoda, as a sign of respect for the monks and the traditions).
      - Note: In our tours, the package includes bottle waters needed for the trip, snacks, beverages along the way and any necessary fees.

  2. What type of bikes do we use on the tour?

    1. • Mountain bikes are perfect to ride on the small roads throughout the villages.
      • We provide bike safety equipment.
      • Please provide your height for appropriate size bike
      • We can arrange a tuk-tuk service (extra service fee) for the tour if not interested in using a bicycle

    1. There is no limitation of guests on our tours. We provide private group tours and shared tours. Please let us know 1-2 days ahead for groups larger than 4 and/or private tour.

    1. • A tuk-tuk can be arranged for pick you up the hotel 20 minutes before the tour starts
      • We can organize the start of your tour at your hotel

      • If you cancel within 24 hours before the start, there will be a 50% cancellation fee
      • If you need to reschedule the tour, please give us 24-hour notice.

    1. • Children are welcome on the tour
      • Please note that if your child does not ride the bike, we encourage parents to book a private tour and let us know ahead. We suggest you arrive 30 minutes prior to start time to accommodate for the children (find appropriate bike size and safety equipment).
      • We have baby seat if needed (to be booked in advance)
